This vase is a bit of an anomaly. The iconic matte yellow glaze makes it instantly identifiable as a vintage McCoy, but the design style is unnamed and overlooked and seems to be quite scarce. Perfect for stems, dried grasses, or just sitting pretty as sculptural decor.
This petite beauty is an example of McCoy Pottery's iconic matte yellow glaze – one of the brand's most loved finishes from the post-WWII era from late 1940s through the 1950s. Many pieces from this era have faint or partial marks (this piece shows a very faint McCoy emblem), and unglazed foot ring is a classic factory detail for pieces this age.
